Confused about porn addiction
I read all these stories by men saying they're addicted to porn and women saying their men are addicted as well. I guess I don't understand what it means. My husband watches porn a lot. Like, even when he's driving, it's on. I know all about it. I watch some of it with him sometimes, and it's really helped spice up our love life. I found that I prefer a different style of porn than he does but hey, different strokes for different folks. I don't feel like I'm cheating when I watch porn alone, so why would he be cheating on me by doing the same thing? Now, if there was no intimacy, it was all going to porn I could see the problem, but so many women just say "I found out he was watching porn and I feel like I'm being cheated on now". Watching porn can actually help women have more sexual pleasure w their lover, it can give you ideas, it can offer release, it can put one in touch w one's body. My husband's become a master of pleasing a woman thanks to watching porn-how else do you learn new things without actually going out and cheating? I used to struggle w the comparing myself to the women in the videos. A lot of that went away w age, I mellowed as I grew older and more confident in my body. It's funny, my body was bangin in my 20's but I was so self-conscious about it, I rarely showed it off. Now that I'm in my 40's, it's a little more saggy, a little more grey, but now I'm prouder of it than ever... I bet I'll be a raunchy old lady, but I digress. My husband looking at porn stars doesn't make me feel less of myself. But, he takes time to make ME feel beautiful, like I'm the only woman in the world for him... I guess I'm just struggling to understand this "porn addiction". Is it the porn itself, or is it the lack of intimacy... I'm confused...

i agree that in the right context it is fine...... i too am a bit perplexed by those who feel it is cheating or whatever and for the addiction part i do not see how but maybe someone with an addictive personality cannot distinguish between real and fake.

I guess in that sense, porn really does depend on the context of your relationship. For some, it's an absolute no regarding its watch and use. But for some it really can help spice up a relationship and help explore some parts of your sexuality you never know otherwise.
