Setbacks happen, and they can be really tough to deal with. 🫂 That doesn't mean things won't improve. You've done it before, and you can do it again. It might help to share your thoughts with someone here. Sometimes, talking about things can help you understand them better.

Hello🌷

First—don’t beat yourself up. You’re not back at zero. You had a good stretch before, which means you can get out of this cycle again.

It also makes sense that your brain is reaching for porn when studies and your roommate are stressing you out. It’s basically looking for a quick escape. The problem is that afterward you feel anxious/guilty, which creates more stress, and the cycle repeats.

For right now, don’t try to promise yourself “I’ll never watch again.” Just make the next urge harder to act on:

  • Put your phone somewhere you can’t easily reach it—across the room, in a bag, or with someone else.
  • Get out of your room for 10–15 minutes if you can. Walk, get some water, sit somewhere public, anything.
  • When the urge hits, tell yourself: “I don't have to fight this forever. I just have to wait 10 minutes.”
  • Do something physical during those 10 minutes—walk, shower, push-ups, clean something.
  • If you slip, stop the binge there. Don't think, “Well, I already messed up, so I might as well keep going.” One slip doesn't have to become a whole night.

And honestly, I’d focus less on “How do I stop watching porn?” and more on “What am I trying to escape from when I want to watch it?” You already identified two big triggers: studying stress and problems with your roommate. Those need some attention too.

Tonight, forget fixing your entire life. Get through the next hour. Then tomorrow, pick one small study task you can actually finish. Getting a little control back in another part of your life can help break the cycle.

And please don't call yourself pathetic or hopeless. You relapsed. You didn't fail. ❤️

Willpower is finite and it can drain you by fighting the urge all the time. I will suggest put your phone somewhere else far from you

This is my day one of abstaining from porn btw,we got this! Hope it helps
