Hey Everyone,

I was doing a self reflection recently, and something is just bothering me. When I tried answering the question, when I started watching porn, my answer was 12 or 13.

Looking back I don't know how I first came across it, but what I do know is that society has failed itself if it allows porn to be viewed and seen by children. What are your thoughts? Also, when did you start watching porn?

Darn, I'm sorry to hear that, and how are you fairing now?

Terrible. Although it has nothing to do with porn. I let society convince me to sacrifice my future for my wife, and she betrayed me over and over again. I am constantly hoping to be able to give up, but I have learned nobody listens to prayers.

I must have been 11 when I first saw porn. I'm 22 now. I remember it felt like my brother was selling it to me. I wasn't all that sure about it at first, it felt like something I shouldn't be doing. Later through my teenage years I feel like it must have unconsciously molded my sexuality to a large degree. It upped what I was attracted to into unrealistic super stimulus and nothing was good enough for long. People became body parts and a means to obtaining gratification. I'm glad to be away from it no matter what the addict of my brain tries to tell me.

@ChocolateShooby

I can relate to this on a serious level. I first saw one at the ages of 11-13. If only I was actually comfortable in sharing my story with others or with a therapist.

Society doesn't allow it, it is socially unacceptable to allow children to watch porn. There are age restrictions on porn and there are laws against it because of that. This is a problem for individuals, and that comes down to the parents individual responsibility on what they allow their children to access, and that's the best you can do. Whether watching porn at all causes any issues to begin with is whole other argument, though.
