@Raspberries2763

It is not about you but something about HIM .....

He need s to figure out what he gets out of watching and deal with that in order to quit.....

Here's an article outlining porn addiction as it's currently understood.

Pornography Addiction: Why Pornography Is Addictive? (webmd.com)

According to the article, in some studies porn addiction shows similar signs in the brain to alcohol and drug addiction, which might explain why it's difficult to give up. However it also states that there is some debate about this, with other studies showing no direct relationship between porn usage and addiction, and to err caution towards labelling consensual sexual behaviour as a disorder.

It's really understandable to feel the way that you do about it and there's a lot more in the article, but It's important to take what it says with a grain of salt as the evidence around porn addiction is limited and wholly understudied. I hope that it helps.

Hi, this could also be due to boredom or wanting a distraction… also it because of hormones our body goes through various changes.

Well whatever the reason might be no one but only he would need to make that decision whether he wants to give up or not…

Take care 💛

Porn is like a drug. When you watch porn, an area in your brain called the dopamine.

Dopamine gives you feelings of pleasure, satisfaction and motivation. Too much of that can make you want even more of that pleasure.

I know because I’m also struggling with porn addiction and you should try speaking to somebody about it.

Raspberries, it is truly a compulsion or addiction or whatever, I suffer in the same way and have suffered for literally years and years. It has a power over you that is so strong and the embarrassment shame and guilt that comes with it compels you to lie about it too because you just want to cover it up. It harms relationships it harms the individual that suffering it's just terrible
