Howdy! I'm here to support you through this, and it's important to recognize that you're not alone in facing these challenges. The cycle you describe is a common experience for many individuals with ADHD, and it can certainly feel overwhelming. Breaking out of this rut is possible, and here are some strategies that may help:
Break Tasks into Smaller Steps: Divide larger tasks into smaller, more manageable parts. This can make them feel less daunting and more achievable.
Prioritize: Identify the most critical tasks and focus on them first. This can help reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed.
Set Realistic Goals: Be kind to yourself and set achievable goals. This can help prevent the cycle of unmet expectations that can contribute to feelings of depression.
Time Management Techniques: Use tools like timers, calendars, and to-do lists to structure your time and stay on track.
Seek Help: Consider speaking with a Listener, therapist or counselor who specializes in ADHD. They can offer strategies and support tailored to your specific needs.
Medication Management: If you're on medication for ADHD, ensure you're following your prescribed regimen and discussing any concerns with your healthcare provider.
Embrace Self-Compassion: It's crucial to be kind to yourself and understand that managing ADHD can be challenging. Avoid self-blame and practice self-compassion.
Support System: Lean on friends and family for support. Sharing your challenges with trusted individuals can provide emotional support and practical assistance.
Remember that breaking out of this cycle takes time and patience. Small, consistent steps can lead to significant improvements in managing your ADHD and preventing the overwhelming feelings that hinder your progress. Don't hesitate to seek professional help if you find that these challenges persist or worsen. You have the strength to navigate this, and I'm here to support you on your journey.

YES
it's frustrating
It's interesting but I've found a way to help get me out of the depression part.
So yk how usually with adhd it's hard to take care of basic stuff like water, showering, going to the bathroom, etc- you just forget stuff like that. Even with meds, it's a mess. But what helps me is going back to that ground zero. Getting some water, going to the bathroom, brushing my hair, taking a shower, just as a breath and a reset and reminder that you can do stuff, you just need to make sure you're taking care of the person doing the stuff as well (that's you!) so you can continue life less overwhelmed
there's my experience
adhd is frustrating but there's a lot you can do to work with yourself :)
