I'm looking for a job but I don't feel that I will find one.
I guess my problem is my learning disability. I can't figure things out. Things are too complicated for me and people treat me like trash because I can't think as fast as they can. My own mother treats me like trash. I spent all day long, trying to put job applications in online. Out of 5 different places, I couldn't submit even one! As I was trying to gather up information about how to get a job when you have a learning disability, my mom was on the phone. The next thing I knew she was yelling at me, and asking if I could email this person something. I don't know if I could or not. I don't have the person's email address, and I didn't even know what it was I needed to email. When I tried to say something about this, she told me that I'm whining. Then she told me that I can't do anything. Thanks mom. Anyways now her and dad are driving to the bank to have something done that I could of done from home if she would of just given me enough time to figure it out!
As I look at how hard it is to put in job applications, I'm already feeling stupid. Then my mom makes me feel even more stupid. And then I think about the people who work at the places I would like to try to get in, and that makes me feel even more stupid!
I guess I'm at least smart enough to write something to tell you how stupid I am!

Well, I'm sorry you're going through this, but you're not who you think you are. In your story, professional and personal problems are intertwined, and now you can't figure out both. Yes, finding a job is sometimes a challenge, but it seems to me that you don't feel supported either. And if no one supports you emotionally, it hits not only your motivation, but also your ability to do anything. So try to accept the fact that you're not there yet, but you're already taking steps towards it. You're moving, which means you're alive. Your parents see it differently, but that's just their opinion, don't associate it with yourself. And one more thing - don't compare yourself to anyone, ever. Good luck.
@tryingtosurvive2024 you need to stop thinking you're stupid, or you will be stupid forever.
I have no idea about your abilities or skills or if really are slow or not, but that doesn't matter.
Advice number 1: go somewhere else different than your home. A library works perfectly: there's silence and you can concentrate and gain self-respect, your mother is not there.
Number 2: learn. Everything we don't know can be learnt. Use Chat Gpt, it's really easy and you can ask it everything you want, it will explain it to you in baby steps. If you don't know how to use it, ask a friend, you just need to ask it everything you want as if it was a real person.
Number 3: Start believing in yourself and remember there is space for anyone on this planet.
Working is EASY. You learn, then you do ask you've been told, then you use your personality.
Good luck brother. <3
@conscientiousPark5846 I don't know where the library is, and I'm not a good driver.

i would say keep working, dont give up. as long as you keep moving forward even if you are slow it doesn't matter. eventually you will see that your learning speed has increased. so many humans have done incredible stuff which others thought was not possible
Hey man I got ADHD too…
Our brains just work differently and we got to approach the world differently than most.
It doesn’t mean we are less than. We’re simply different — with our own weaknesses and strengths like every other human being on Earth :)
You are not alone, and if you ever need help you got this place! Sometimes you just need to put in extra time and effort, but you’ll get there! And if you don’t, then don’t fret… We’ll still be here :)
