What are some of your personal tips and tricks for dealing with procrastination?.

My trick is that I use the time of a song on Spotify as a timer. For example, when this song is done, I need to do X, and so on.

@EmpatheticEars94

That's a good tip 🥰

I literally break things down into tasks, and do the ones I highly dislike first.

Don't think about it.

Get it done and after that, nothing's as bad 😂😂😂😂🩵

@Amanda84 I feel you on that. Starting with the bad tasks first really helps a lot

I do the opposite of what @Amanda84 said! I start with the easiest, quickest task first, then gain momentum by saying, "I might as well do ___," or "What's the next thing to do?"

I tend to follow the law of inertia. An object at rest will remain at rest unless a force is acted upon it. If I am on the couch for a long time and I need to do something, it takes a lot of effort to will myself to move. What I do is I take a breath, put my phone down, wiggle my toes, sit up if I am laying down, and slowly move my limbs and prepare to get off the couch. Once I'm standing, I can go get stuff done!

@easyScarf7950 Great advice there!. Starting with small and simple steps can help you gain momentum and to gain some internal motivation. Will definitely note your advice as I tend to be a couch potato haha
