Does anyone feel rejection sensitivity?

I am crying about what my friend did and said 1 year 4 months back. People can be cruel to people they love. My mistake ofcourse she doesn't love me. I doubt she feels anything positive about me except for being there for her, if she needs.

I think I have been hurt worst when I have been made to feel that I am too much. I don't understand ways of the society. It doesn't stop whether work, friendship, love, or family, I have been made to feel I am too much. I think I am so idiotic. I remember every time I have been restricted, dismissed, yelled at. I am so stupid. I remember such minute things. I don't think people ever remember all this.

I am remembering I was out with my parents and brother on maybe some festival. I wanted to check out how the restaurant connected their fairy lights. I wanted to switch them on and off. My brother said so much. He was completely angry and irritated. He didn't want me to behave that way.

I am way old and somewhere I keep blaming my parents. I mean only in nov 2025 did I start accepting that I have adhd. It's just that I feel if as a child, I was allowed to be however I wanted and was accepted for me then maybe my baseline would be strong. People say now you are an adult. Reparent yourself blah blah. How? When your baseline is not ready to accept you as right or lovable. I feel if I was told that you can be and do whatever you want then maybe I would not be believing anyone coming and saying I am wrong.

You are not stupid.

And you are lovable.

You needed support as a child to express and understand yourself more.

But it's not too let, to find a way to process things now, in a healthy way and not on a loop.

You are not too much.

Some people just feel things more and that's not their fault!

I can feel you. When close one keep giving tag. You are this and that. Somewhere deep down our self worth get broke.

Often we know yes this action were not okay. But tag to be angry ..to be emotional more .. make it difficult to bringing changes in us.

Because we hope whatever we are we atleast be accepted.

For me the idea of self love was alien. Like the way you feel about reparenting.

I too have sensitivity of rejection. Coincidentally today I realised while I was reading something.

But being aware of ourself is also big things. Surely slow by slow we will be at better place in life.

Today, again someone I know made me feel too much. He actually said I don't like such heavy conversations.

I am feeling something about men. I realised talking here on 7 cups too. They want me to fit in a box. They want me to be how they like things.

It was so disheartening. I had a fraud on 7 cups. It's one of the most traumatising thing that has happened to me. How do I recover in 2 days? I narrated the incident to this so-called friend. He was attentive. But he has no consideration whatsoever. He has been thrashing me for 2 days because he wants me to behave in a way comfortable to him. Not an ounce of concern that I went through something so major.

Why does the world always tell me I am too much?

Recently I learned.

U might see the difference of love language.

So there difference also how we take people whom we like or whom we communicate.

Like for me connection.. or whom I feel comfortable become important.

But for all it not same.

People might love us but the might not carry that depth .that capacity.

When someone say they can't listen heavy talk. It not about you.

It there capacity to handle things. Understnsd it.

Sometime they r too exhausted in life just want light talk.

Even once I had told my friend who was going through trauma. For month I listen here but thn my weak time came I could not listen her so said her no. For time being i don't want heavy talk.

So it not about you too much.

So take time. N find someone align with you.if not thn don't invest much.

If don't want to feel empty thn talk with them of same wavelength n it feels u r betraying urself. Thn distance with them.

It all suggestion. You are best to make decision for yourself.

But you are not too much.

Thanks. I absolutely agree.

But I feel it's how it is communicated.

This person spoke in a demeaning manner. Next, he was forcing me to move on. How can I move on if I go through an extremely traumatic event? I need atleast sometimes like a week.

I just hated how he was forcing me to not be me. He was giving a verdict on how I am wrong in even expressing myself.

I have cut connection with this person. I don't want to feel hurt again and again.

True healing can't be force.

Maybeit is easy for him to move on fast. But hoping u also was not fair.

Yes you can choose what best for your well being. Sorry you have to go through it.

Thanks dear for replying. I am thankfully not thinking about that person. Good riddance! I will remember not to give him another chance when he comes asking for it.
