I Can't Sleep
I just can't sleep. My bed feels uncomfortable, my pillow feels uncomfortable, my blanket feels uncomfortable. It feels like there's too much noise in my room but when it's silent my brain starts thinking too much and won't shut up. I put on a YouTube video in the background in hopes maybe that background noise can help me sleep a bit, but it doesn't
I lay down, close my eyes, and try to sleep. On my side, my back, my stomach, my brain just won't turn off
I'm so tired. I have melatonin, I have taken some, but I woke after like 2 hours of sleep, got something to eat cause I was starving, and haven't been able to go back to sleep
I just wanna have a normal sleep schedule, it's so agonizing having to wait till I'm so exhausted my body can't force itself to be awake to go to sleep sometimes

🥺
Sorry you are struggling to sleepÂ
What works for me is no outer noise.
Putting in headphones and listening to music .
A weighted blanket.
No clutter.
Complete darkness.
Spraying lavender on my pillow 💕💜
Thank you, I'll try some of that tonight to see if it helps me

A pleasure 💜Â

@calmLunch9427I'm really sorry you're going through this. Difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep can be incredibly frustrating and exhausting. Here are some suggestions that might help:
1. Create a Relaxing Routine: Try calming activities before bed, like reading, gentle stretching, or deep breathing exercises.
2. Make Your Environment Comfortable: Experiment with adjusting your bedding, room temperature, or using a white noise machine or app to find what soothes you.
3. Limit Screen Time Before Bed: The blue light from screens can interfere with melatonin production, so try to avoid phones or computers at least an hour before sleep.
4. Avoid Eating Right Before Bed: Try to have your last meal a couple of hours before sleeping to prevent hunger or digestion from waking you.
5. Consistent Sleep Schedule: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to help regulate your internal clock.
6. Mindfulness or Meditation: Guided meditation or mindfulness apps can sometimes help quiet a busy mind.
7. If melatonin isn’t working well, it might be good to discuss this with a healthcare provider to explore other options.
