Me and my 10yo daughter have ADHD

Back in the day when I was a kid life was real hard for me. Now I’m invested in making it different for her. So I’m using my own experience to make sure I can raise her in an home that not only understands her challenges but appreciates them. Our routine has space for happy fidgeting, piles of things are considered organised ways of keeping them, post-its substitute calendars and all things that will make our lives easier are welcome. It’s messy, but it’s the way we are. We’re different, yes. But we’re also compassionate and kind. Have a feral sense of justice and our friends are for life. Most of all, we learned to be kind to ourselves, as all neurodivergent people should be. I’m very happy with what I’m able to provide to her - all things I did not have when I was growing up. So if you feel missunderstood, drop me a message. Let’s talk about it. Maybe I can help you find a way to express your own difficulties better to the ones you love. I hope for a kinder world. For all of us. Cheers from Scotland.

"I’m very happy with what I’m able to provide to her - all things I did not have when I was growing up." ~ this right here is everything really! A parent's love and care can be truly impactful on the child, I'm so glad your daughter has you and do hope for a kinder, more accepting and compassionate world too! 💗

More power to yall!
