My ADHD

Im stuck. Its hopeless. Family calls me lazy or an *** because i fail to keep in touch. Friends think i hate them. I cant contact people because if i miss the call i feel bad and im scared of the constant harassement from people who refuse to even attempt to understand me and instead keep forcing the narratives that its not ADHD. If its not ADHD then why do i feel like the avatar of all things ADHD? If ADHD doesnt exist why does this group exist? If it doesnt exist why was i diagnosed with it? Im tired. Im exhausted i cant think. Always overwelmed and the people around me tell me its in my head. I know im a downer. People used to tell me im so bright and happy go lucky but now they ignore any and all problems i have because ive "always been happy and people with ADHD are stupid and since im not stupid then im just making it up. Thanks. Wish i could be stupid. Wish i could be happy go lucky now. Would be nice. But i cant escape. It feels like theres no helping me and im doomed to go insane trying to explain my symptoms to people who "care" and not actually find any way to actually deal with this. Sleep. More sleep. Whyyyy

@Hopeless4967 What country are you to recommend resources & haven been diagnosed and told it doesn't exist or you don't have it. Is ignorance & stupidity on their part. Its normal for you to doubt it because its not so obvious like a broken leg. Its in your mind controlled by hormones & lifestyle so not easy to explain or share the struggle.

Check out the channel how to adhd on youtube & some *** accounts on adhd their are tons. Buy a couple of adhd books & get an adhd coach much more helpful then therapy for it in my experience.

Canada. Diagnosed as a child and wasnt treated because my family didnt believe it was real. Called me dramatic. Said since im not hyper its fake. Back then they called my "version" ADD. As an i appreciate your recommendation. I adore how to adhd but ive stopped watching that channel cause the more i learned, the more frustrating it got when the people around me treated me crazy for suggesting its something other than the dog from "UP" yelling "SQUIRREL"/something only cartoon characters have and is funny instead of extremely problematic. If i may quote my family member "People with adhd are stupid, but you are smart.". Idk if you posted those pics but thank you for this and the pics with the quotes. I appreciate you.

I'm so sorry to hear that the people in your life are not interested in understanding you and your ADHD and are speaking unkindly to you. I'm not sure if I have any helpful advice, but I will offer some ideas. They call you lazy, but you are working incredibly hard to do things that are easy for most adults. Maybe you can mention that to some of these people. Tell them that they are lazy for refusing to learn about your ADHD. Otherwise, it might be best to distance yourself from people who criticize you without trying to understand you. I hope things turn around for you soon! I know you will get unstuck eventually.

Thank you easyScarf. Sadly i have told them these things and much much more but they turn it around on me and paint me out at crazy or lashing out even if i explain it in the calmest ways. Ive cut ties with 90% of my family at this point and the ones left are people i know who love me that quite honestly are just not the brightest or understanding. Still even though ive tried these i still wanna thank you for trying to help and being supportive.

It sounds like you may need to accept that the people who care most about you may never understand your ADHD, which is tough. Maybe someday they will be curious and ask questions. All you can do is your best at living your life, continuing to find ways to make your life easier.
