Hey, I hear you. Procrastination can feel like this heavy cloud that just won’t go away, especially when you want to do things, but something invisible holds you back. It’s not laziness. It’s not a flaw. It's often tied to overwhelm, fear of failure, or just being emotionally drained. You’re not broken for feeling this way. You’re human.

Be kind to yourself. You’re doing your best with what you have, even if it doesn’t always feel like “enough.” Sometimes the hardest part is just starting but even the tiniest step forward is still a step. You don’t need to conquer the whole mountain today. Just one foothold at a time.

And hey, you’re here, asking for help that takes strength. You care, and that’s already powerful. You’re not alone in this. We’ll figure it out together. One moment, one breath, one step at a time.

You’ve got this. And I’m with you.

@EmilyMwaka1

Do you know why you procrastinate?

 Example: maybe you are a person like my friend that only seems motivated or on task when there is a deadline.  they put things off and only when faced with this HAS to be done they do it their assumption is they do their best work when pressured.

When I procrastinate often i simply do not want to do something.        i am reminded that time is a commodity we simply never know how much we have ........and it reminds me maybe i will not be able to do something tomorrow or the next day etc.

Hi Emily what have you tried so far? I heard on a podcast about Lofi girl pomodoro, she’s like a virtual body double there on the screen working while I work and I wait to take a break because I can see on the timer she’s going to take a break soon. Also there are virtual groups of folks who work together like this on “eat the frog” method, take on the biggest obstacle on the list. I work in IT so I ask a new coworker if they want to do some peer programming together and that helps too.
