Undiagnosed ADHD
Anyone else not diagnosed but think they have ADHD? Or that was diagnosed later in life? I relate to inattentive ADHD so much, it would explain literally everything about me, especially how I always seem to lack motivation to get up in the morning or do anything productive but I also don’t really feel totally depressed. I’m also forgetful and don’t have great attention to detail too

It is possible that you have ADHD, but alot of things present similarly.
It could be helpful to start the ball rolling on having a chat and finding out for sure, to enable you to finally get the answers and the support that you need!

hiii!! that would be me! I've done a lot of research about ADHD, and it totally runs in my family, so I am almost positive I have it. it's not just you ;) but if your curious, you should talk to a psychiatric about it <3 hope you get some answers!

100% I'm not going to self-diagnose, obviously.
Yet I feel very strongly linked to the inattentive type as well. I have taken countless tests, and they all said either mild symptoms or that I would benefit from an evaluation. I am scared to get one because I am fearful that I am just "overreacting" or "lazy" and "just need to try harder". I have genuinely tried so hard to focus, and it's almost like my brain just refuses or is uninterested. In fact, I am on here writing this when I should be working on my homework, but I just can't. I worry because I've had good grades in the past, and I had all my "ducks in a row" so to speak. I remember being able to get things done in a traditional school setting. I remember when I actually understood things rather than just going back to the lesson prior to get the answers. I remember the time when my brain was working with me and not against me. But one day I will get an evaluation. I can't right now because I'm scared my mom will just call me lazy, she works very closely with people who have ADHD, and she claims to know it well, but I have explained the different types, and she only really takes the hyperactive spectrum seriously.
@conscientiousPine6550 You're not alone! I don't condone self-diagnosing but I've been reading so much about it for the past couple of months and it is so evident that I have inattentive ADHD as well. Of course, there's a part of me that feels like I am faking it and I am lying about it but so many symptoms and experiences that I've read and seen occur in my life almost daily and I've had this problem for so long.
