What are your hobbies?

Let's talk hobbies! 😊

Now I know that you guys have a variety of interests. Our thirst for learning and trying something novel to us is what drives us to discover new hobbies (hello dopamine).

The tricky part is just sticking with it long enough to get good at it, which for me is a constant battle. I have had many hobbies and phases in my life. I have learned to love and accept that part of myself so hopefully you have too.

So on that note, what sort of hobbies or interests are you looking into these days? For myself it is digging into the past, looking at ancient catastrophes and the current extreme weather happening worldwide.

I am also getting back into playing my hang drum for relaxation and creativity as well as learning the Italian language. Now lets hope I can stick with these. I would love to get a better handle on playing my drum and have that motivate me to pick up the guitar that I have been trying to learn on and off for 8 years. 😂 🎸

Interesting, it looks like an instrument from the medieval period. I have never heard of it before, very cool!

I too have been trying to learn guitar for several years! LOL

I am currently learning Spanish. I have a 150 day streak on my language app.

I got into embroidery last year. I don't get to do it regularly yet. I need some more supplies. I made one project from a kit. It took a year because I had a baby and had to put it aside for several months.

Guitar is one of those instruments that takes daily practice so I feel like if I can finally learn to play it, I can do anything!! Haha.

There are a few good apps for learning languages, I use a couple. Good for you for reaching 150 days, that's impressive. 👏

Your time with embroidery reminds me of my time with wood burning. My kit is somewhere in a box in storage. I know I will circle back around to it at some point.

Congrats on your little one. Having kids is one of the best hobbies out there. 😉

Thanks! Raising a baby is a true labor of love! 𤣠I'm at the fun part where he is learning to stand and is adorably babbling and laughing. Now that he knows how to pull himself up to stand in his crib, he doesn't want to take naps!

I only play my guitar when I feel like it LOL Sometimes I like to play a soothing chord progression for my baby when he's tired but doesn't want to sleep just yet.

Yes it surely is, I remember those days with my two girls. They are grown now ages 20 and 13 but I have fond memories of them when they were little. My youngest was quite the escape artist from her crib. It is such a wonderful experience to see them grow and learn new things.

Hi Caden welcome to our community! I like playing video games as well. Right now I am trying to master a driving game called Asphalt Legends on the PS5. I occasionally play Roblox or Minecraft with my younger daughter too.

sticking with hobbies i seriously struggle with. my passions include insects, origami, making music, drawing and painting, making comics, electeonics, coding, maths, sewing, crocheting, dancing, ceramics and much much more. of course, i barely do any of these : D after years of waiting i bought a sewing machine two weeks ago! still excited about that and i made a pet for my dog today, and im looking forwards for doing more projects while the fun lasts. im trying to get back to crocheting (two years ago i tried to make a small octopus, failed and the entire crocheting thing just drifted away for a bit LOL) and coding. ive been doing some japanese lessons, speaking of learning languages!

ancient catastrophes sound soooo interesting. anything cool to recommend checking out? :o ive been binging cave accident videos and im running out of them :- D

@teabug

Yes it looks like you have tried a variety of things. I would like to try my hand at painting and maybe ceramics in the future. Both take lots of practice and skill to do well much like the guitar.

Here is a short list of some ancient disasters you can look into. I also follow mud floods and mud fossil researchers online. It is pretty interesting stuff.
