Another reason i hate my job.
It is time for my annual performance evaluation:
You would think that i would be concerned about how well i do but that is not the problem. It is the process.
Before i can be evaluated i have to submit a form that includes a set of personal goals to accomplish in the coming year, i summery of how i did on last years goals, any barriers to my goals, a list of DEI training i have done, and this:
"Describe your role in creating a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance. Also, describe how you have integrated DEI principles into your daily work, and/or applied DEI principles in your work, and/or how you plan to do so in the coming year."
I hate DEI mostly because I am forced to do it. I hate this more as I just don't know how to answer this. How the F do you create a culture? I have just 6 days to do this which sounds like plenty of time. It's not, as I sit here staring blankly at the form. Eventually I will become so frustrated I will break down and cry then spend the rest of the day hating myself.
@Gettingbettertoday
this is the problem with things that are forced training or trying to ask you to write about your part in whatever they are looking for...
i would suggest googling various things on it and gleaning phrases and such to write out... this course of evaluation in my opinion is not about development but of who can Conform the best.... my condolences you work in such an atmosphere that thinks playing along and catch phrases bring inclusion and equality... it does not
