Dwelling on my triggers
The past few days I have had to confront a couple of things that trigger my anxiety. It seems that no matter how hard I work to rid myself of them, they keep showing up. They are inevitably caused by others, so as much as I would like to control them, I can't. I can't only control how I react to them. (I know, I know.)
I do not like to be the middle person. I do not like it when two people won't talk to each other, and they use me to be the go between. Like they're too scared to converse with each other. (These are family members.) It's SO frustrating. I don't want to be the person everyone comes to. Why does one person have to ask me if the other person has done something? Can't they ask them? And I have told these people this. Over and over again. And yet they ignore my request and continue to put me in the middle.
I know it seems like such a small thing (sometimes triggers seem so small, but feel so big), but I just want to have some breathing room and not have to deal with everyone else's problems or be involved in everyone else's problems. I have enough of my own I'm trying to resolve! :)

It's not a small thing.
It's an exhausting thing.
I hear ya.
Trying to be the family peace keeper and keep everything together.
Your good nature always being taken for granted.
Assumptions made, you'll just do it.
Everything left to you.
Boundaries not respected.
It's frustrating.
And irritating.
And I just wanted to say, I'm sorry and I hear you 💚

Thanks. It's a lot and I'm feeling overwhelmed. I just want to run and hide some days. Just say "I'm leaving on a jet plane (lol) and I'll be back after all of you have figured out how to deal with life without me.
@thoughtfulmomma
I know that sentiment all too well 💚🤗
