Health anxiety
Hi! I'm new to the community. It's nice to see the different areas that are here. I've been struggling with health anxiety alot. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's last year and health anxiety has just been a big struggle of mine. I think some of this is mixed in with OCD as well.

A pleasure 🥰
Hi, i’m also new here! I have had horrible anxiety since i was young and i was diagnosed with hashimotos at the age of 10. Im pretty sure the auto immune disease causes alot of anxiety unfortunately but getting your levels on the right track helps a little bit:)

That sounds like it's really overwhelming to carry, especially after receiving a diagnosis that changed how you think about your health. It makes sense that your mind might feel more focused on symptoms and "what ifs" after going through something like that.
What has been the hardest part of the health anxiety for you? Is it more the fear of something being wrong, checking symptoms, seeking reassurance, or something else?
@Kdh3siii HI! Sorry I'm replying back so late! You ask a great question! You mention exactly what I've been doing lately. The hardest part has been the what-ifs. Lately things have been going downhill a bit so it's been making me more anxious. I seek reassurance alot at the emergency room when I end up having some chest pain symptoms that feel concerning. It's been a lot of "what-if" questions lately just because of how things have progressed. I am trying to be hopeful but it's hard.
