How do you deal with overthinking?
I’m prone to overthinking my problems until they’re bigger than they need to be (ie dreading talking to someone who I have an issue with or making an appointment over the phone). Other times, I have a hard time letting things that have happened go (ie I keep wondering if I could have done something differently or how I’ll avoid similar situations in the future).
Sometimes just distracting myself with a music or a tv show is enough to interrupt the runaway train of thought. Unfortunately, this only seems to work so well/last so long.
How do you deal with/experience overthinking?

@bestBalsam5454 Hi Balsam.. yes overthinking and letting things go is something which can affect all f us; finding coping/managing/resolution to this can provide relief as well as a possibiity to move on from issue ; to answer your question the ways I deal with overthinking is to discuss my issue is by talking therapy via family/friends/dr/therapist-- also holistic time in nature/exercising and self care can help regulate our thoughts etc.. letting things go- yes in hindsight we can think and wish that we had said something in a different way etc / however this is the past- how we can address this now is what matters- talking helps also discussing how we truly feel if able to with the person, acceptance is also key :) hope this helps...
