Relationships
What are some things you wish your current or future partner could understand about your anxiety?
What kind of support do you need from a partner during times of anxiety?
I need patience from him, I am working on myself and he knows that but the minute I slip it’s like he forgets I’m going through something, so we argue, then we’re not talking, walking through the house ignoring one another a day maybe two *** maybe three, he knows I’m not doing anything on purpose but I guess he’s tired of waiting for me to get better

Anxiety in relationships can be complex. But it doesn't have to be. There are few ways how partners can help in anxiety-
1. Communication and understanding patterns. It is important to communicate your own patterns so that your partner might be aware beforehand of what to expect. Self awareness is critical since the partner might not know things of long past.
2. Patience - be patient with the partner and try to understand what's happening in the moment of anxiety attack.
3. Practise and learn together - working together can bring partners together and ensure growth in the longer run.
4. Understand what helps - the partner can perhaps prepare a toolkit to be prepared to handle a situation.
