Another day with anxiety

Stopped taking my Lexapro in August due to not being able to see a doctor to get a refill. The withdrawal was bad and had me feeling like the end is near. Finally got them a couple of days ago but it's my birthday and I've been wanting to go to the ER all day for things I know are just my anxiety. It will be a couple more weeks before the meds kick in, I don't want to sleep. I feel like I won't wake up, been like that for a couple of days now. Why does anxiety do this to me. Why do I need meds to be normal. At least it got me to focus on my diet and exercise but man this sucks.

@frankNickel5633 Hi,thank you so much for sharing this! It can take a lot of effort,I admire you for it <3

And i'm so sorry to hear you're going through so much. Not wanting to sleep, because you fear you won't wake up,seems terrifying. I understand you,I would feel the same way in that situation.

Waiting for weeks so your meds kick in seems exhausting, but I really admire you for your patience. It can be immensely hard to wait for so long while dealing with heavy anxiety

And it's nice to hear that it got you to focus on your diet and exercise. You're doing an awesome job, congratulations!

What is the worst part of going through this?

I'd say the worst part of this whole ordeal is feeling better for a couple of hours. Because I get to believe for a moment I'm fine again only for it to be taken away and feeling terrible again.
