Anxiety—My worse Demon

Hey Y’all, I’m kinda new to doing this but:

I’m Ashton, I’m 18, and I battle with anxiety. I been trying to keep it regulated and under control. Everyday it seems to get worse and worse until, once you know it, I am having a panic attack.

For example: When my partner goes quiet, leaves me on read, doesn’t talk, or hangs out with someone I know 100% is platonic friendship I begin to freak out.

My chest begin to tighten, I shake, I make involuntary noises, I can’t breathe, my brain rushes with ‘what-if’ thoughts.

I know this can be extremely destructive to my relationship and mental health. But I decided to not stand around and take action upon it. I need some advice on how to atleast manage it to calm down when I know my partner isn’t cheating or doesnt hate me.

My relationship is still relatively new so I haven’t caused anything yet, and I’m trying to prevent it.

I appreciate your honesty.

We all have different communication styles, so it's important to trust your partner.

When you feel anxious, put your phone out of reach so that you cannot send any messages you don't want to.

Take a deep breath.

Count your breaths until your heart rate calms down.

Listen to music until your overthinking calms down.

Remind yourself, that it'll pass, you are safe, it cannot hurt you 💙

Wishing you the best in your new relationship 💛
