Anxiety

Every time I find myself pushing down my feelings or thoughts. I tried to go blank I have tried to push everything out of my head all the feelings and thoughts but when I do I end up going into the darkness and I feel nothing at all and I'm fine but then when I try to rejoining wherever I am I can't breathe I'm stuck in it

Stuck in nothing stuck in the emptiness emptiness

I try to count I tried to only I can do what I need to do but other than the robotic motions of life it's hard

@always123ok

For me, it's not so much getting rid of the feelings or the anxiety.

Its about learning how to process them effectively and living with it in a way that doesn't overly hinder my daily life.

Its about putting coping mechanisms in place that work for me.

Be that exercise.

Be that listening to music.

Be that doing something I love to relieve the stress.

Its about being honest with how I feel 💜💕

Instead of pushing anxiety away, observe it.  Try to look at it curiously, but detached.  Sit with it and embrace it.  My therapist tells me it is like a distressed child.  If you push the child away, the child gets worse.  If you comfort the child, it can calm down.  But, you don't need to feel the child's distress, just be there compassionately.
