@kindWillow6344 love this
I have constant fear and always feels like someone is going to do bad to me. I end up being a people pleaser just to avoid conflicts. This sucks, sometimes I cant feel happy or excited about anything and just found myself staring at a blank space while thoughts are coming.

I want to share what my counselor explained to me about anxiety and in doing so it may help some people to find easier method to control their anxiety.
Forgive me the rough diagram please.
In essence the "Anxiety Circle", which is a physiological phenomenon, begins with a perceived "fear", whether it be a real fear, or an imagined fear makes no difference. The "Fear" triggers the adrenal gland to produce adrenalin which is the body's natural survival reaction to prepare to take 1 of 3 actions (as they are currently accepted by the majority of the psychiatric community)
Potential reactions to this surge of adrenalin are;
FIGHT: Respond violently to protect the self.
FREEZE: A common reaction to an overwhelming perceived threat.
FLIGHT: Run away, remove the self from the danger.
As the feeling of anxiety increases with the initial surge of adrenalin this flow stimulates the adrenal gland to produce more adrenalin, which, in turn, produces yet more adrenalin increasing, exponentially, the 'reaction'.
My counselor suggested that the best way to counter this was to cut off the fear and thereby restrict the production of adrenalin.
Easier said than done? YES, you are right, it is NOT easy to shake off a fear. What needs to happen is the mind needs to assess the fear, identify whether it is a real fear or an imagined fear and then, in a rational manner, react accordingly.
That's how it was explained to me and that's what I have been working with for a long time. I can proudly say that my "anxiety" is now, mostly but not completely, controllable. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Namaste,
D.
