Anxiety and everyday life

I feel like my anxiety has gone far beyond anything I’ve felt before recently. I’ve never struggled too bad with it, and even after exam season, I’m more stressed than ever. It’s making me feel nauseous constantly in a state where I feel like I can’t sit down for more than 1 hour without my heart sending me into a full blown panic attack.

I’ve tried all sorts of mindfulness techniques and meditation but none of it has sufficed. The only way I feel that I can rest is if I get on some kind of medication for it. Then again, I’m worried about the side effects of that and if it’ll make me feel worse (I.e I have Emetaphobia meaning when I feel nauseous, it sends me into a panic) and I’m terrified if I go on these meds, it’ll double my symptoms.

it feels almost like an endless loop and it’s exhausting when it happens everyday because I’ve lost so much sleep due to it (it usually happens at nights) that it effects me on a daily basis.

I feel so stuck and worried. Thank you for listening.

I understand how anxiety can just make things spiral out of control.  I know that I had to find answers to my anxiety in order for me to feel a little better.  What was actually triggering my anxiety?  What was the reason I reacted so deeply to a person or a situation?

I don't know if you're seeing a therapist, but for me, that has been a huge factor in feeling better.  I was in full on melt-down mode and that's when I said "I need to see someone."  Now that I'm getting answers, I'm able to understand my reaction, understand my anxiety and it has made things a lot better.

Am I free from anxiety?  No.  Not yet.  I am still working on my issues.  But it's a lot better than where I was a few years ago.
