Sometimes I have bad anxiety to the point where it's overwhelming suffocating and instabilitating I feel depressed like I'm at my lowest point then I get so angry that I don't know what to do but I feel like I'm blocking out because I feel lost and defeated swears I'm walking around like a chicken with my head cut off what can I do to improve my self and better manage my anxiety and stress and anger
Hi @KingRamie22 😊
I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time with your anxiety, stress, and anger. It sounds incredibly overwhelming, and I want you to know that you're not alone in this. I'm here to offer my support and help you find ways to improve and better manage these emotions.
First and foremost, it's important to remember that seeking help and support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Consider reaching out to a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counselor, who can provide guidance and support tailored to your specific needs. They can help you explore coping strategies and develop a personalized plan to manage your anxiety, stress, and anger.
In addition to professional help, there are also some self-care practices that can make a positive impact on your well-being. Taking care of your physical health, such as getting regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep, can help reduce anxiety and improve your overall mood. Engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, such as hobbies, spending time in nature, or practicing mindfulness and deep breathing exercises, can also help alleviate stress and promote a sense of calm.
It's also important to identify and challenge any negative thought patterns or beliefs that may be contributing to your anxiety, stress, and anger. Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques can be helpful in this regard, as they can help you reframe negative thoughts and develop more positive and realistic perspectives.
Progress takes time, and it's important to be patient and kind to yourself along the way. Celebrate small victories and acknowledge the steps you're taking towards self-improvement. Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends and loved ones who can offer understanding and encouragement.
If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed in the moment, try practicing grounding techniques to bring yourself back to the present. This can include focusing on your breath, noticing the sensations in your body, or engaging your senses by touching or smelling something comforting.
Lastly, please remember that you don't have to face this alone. Reach out to trusted friends or family members and let them know what you're going through. Having a support system can make a world of difference in your journey towards managing anxiety, stress, and anger.
You're stronger than you realise, and we believe in your ability to overcome these challenges. Take things one step at a time, and know that there is hope for a brighter and more peaceful future 🙏🏻
