Anxiety overload
How on earth can you deal with an anxiety overload?
I do everything recommended - stay out when I know it is just feelings and my brain and there is nothing to run from. I make myself go out, make myself eat when I have a fear of it making me sick, but I still wake up every day with that dread that the day has begun and I've got to do it all again.
I guess some stories of recovery and any tips would be appreciated.
Thank you all.

Guided meditations and hypnosis have helped me. But meditating is like exercising, in that it takes repetition for it to give dividends. Breathing exercises are good for the short term. Prayer has also been helpful for me.
I get overwhelmed a lot. What usually saves me from anxiety about one thing is a new thing coming along to be anxious about. I wind up feeling overwhelmed. As much as I can, I try to address things that I can control in manageable bits.
It helps me feel better to get as much exercise as I can, and to get some exposure to the sun. Being outside in a calm, quiet place is soothing. Sometimes sitting down with a cup of chamomile tea or sniffing an essential oil helps too.
I keep a worry stone, palm stone or carved stone in my pocket to hold onto whenever I'm feeling a flood of anxiety and need to grip onto something. And I try to focus on my breathing instead of whatever thing is making me alarmed.
I'm also on medication...but it's in no way a cure. It just makes me somewhat functional. CBD oil is legal here, so I take that sometimes when I'm feeling extra anxious, and it helps.
I'm not sure if any of this is helpful, but I thought I would throw it out there for you or for anyone else reading. 💜
