Anxiety over the smallest thing

Hello everyone,

I'm Pie. I'm struggling with feeling anxious from very small things or things out of my control. It feels like I always have something to worry on my mind, which makes me feel overwhelmed and decrease my living quality drastically. However, with my current financial situation, I can not afford to go to therapy. Therefore, I am looking for tips and peer support :)

@popapie Well, I’m here as peer support! My name’s Amy Grace, nice to meet you!

I’m sorry you are going through this. Hugs 🫂 if wanted. I understand getting upset or anxious over little things.
One thing that helps me feel less stressed and anxious when everything is overwhelming is to just to take a break for a moment. For me this is usually taking a walk and listening to music. Sometimes it’s even doing a little art and have a show on in the background.
Those little distractions can help you get from those anxious moments to a chill mood. They kinda help even everything out. I understand maybe not being able to have much time to do this between things like jobs and school. But when you have breaks, take that as opportunity to breathe a bit. Even if only for a few minutes.
Some few minutes breaks are better than no breaks.

Yes thank you for the response. Now that the weather is getting better, I can take more walks and break during the day :) Maybe I can get back to my hobby as a distraction.
