I've had really bad anxiety for about 20yrs now. Over that time I tried to come up with different self made ways to cope with it. Has anyone else had an attack so bad that fight or flight literally happened? I'd like to hear about you experience.

My mother came to visit.. Then out of nowhere she became unhinged calling emergency services on me.. it's happened many times in the past.. if she can't control her emotions she transfers her frustrations onto me.. But I didn't let her harass me this time and dealt with the situation responsibly.. I hid from the situation until the emergency services analyzed me and realized I was perfectly fine..🌲

Wow, my mother never did that to me before. Sorry you had to go through that once, let alone multiple times. That would have strained my relationship with my mother. To call any service on me without me requesting it. Smh.

I was out at a bar with a large group of friends , maybe 13 years ago. The friends parents came out that night with us as well. I have severe social anxiety. So while I knew my friends I had never gone out with their parents in a "let loose" situation. On top of that I was broke that night while at the bar, so it was already an awkward night. I was single at the time, had just come out of the relationship before this current separation. My friends had their spouses and parents. Something happened, I dont remember exactly what, but my anxiety got triggered, straight from 0 to 100. It was a winter night, snowing. I sat at the table awkward with no to one to turn to while having one of my worst attacks to date. As soon as I saw an opening, bolted out the bar and just sat next to the car in the parking lot for about 2 hours. I didn't want to mess up anyone's night with my problems. I tried to fight, but flight won that night. One of the few times I fully loss control during an anxiety attack.
