Bad days
I have been dealing with Anxiety my whole life and I live with someone who same as I has it. My mom. She has PDSD, Anxiety, Depression and other like that. She has had it since she was little. Her parents did not get there the help she needed so she did not know why she was feeling sad hopeless and scared all the time. It is really unhealthy and if YOU DO NOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. It dose not go away. Now I do not say that for myself. I say that watching my mom go threw all of problem’s she has today.
By the time she was Thirty she got the help she needed. But her dad was not to happy. The people who worked there said that the family needed to help. He had said stuff like I have more important things to do or a bill to pay. One time her dad made her so sad she climbed in a tree at the age of 30 and would not get down so they could not get there to come down.
Things I have learned to cope with anxiety and how to react when my mom is having a hard time is to breath. I see her counting to ten to reset her mind if she gets stressed about something. I notice when she is done counting to ten, she is not so stressed about what she is doing. Sometimes she will walk away and take a break. Other times she will start over.
When you feel anxious the biggest thing to do is to not think about it, don’t put extra thoughts into it. Thinking about whatever is bothering you irritates you more. Your body thinking of answer but most of your answers make it worse. Try to don’t put any extra thought into it for 3 minutes and do something that makes you happy. Find an escape, a healthy one. Talk to your friends or go outside. If you cant the best thing to do is nothing. It sounds weird but when you do it for so long you will become less stressed and be able to focus more.
When she is having a bad day I learned not to say “Its going to be ok” because sometimes you know its not. Just sit by the person and do say a thing. If they start talking about how they feel listening to them is the best thing to do. Give them a hug maybe, AND DON’T SAY I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL IF YOU DON’T. if you do say why you feel like that and show them they are not alone.
Now, This is from my expresses so what I have wrote may not work for you but I am trying to let you know my experience.
Thank you

@Aceofallthespades hi there! i have moved your post to the topic 'general' of the Anxiety Support community because this post is more anxiety related than relationship stress :)
