Can’t even go into a store

I’m a grown man, I should be able to enter public spaces and socialize like a normal human being without caring what people think of me. Just can’t shake the feeling of being constantly watched and judged. I keep to myself for the most part but I really wanna get out there, still trying to figure out how.

I admire you for being brave and sharing that with us 💚

It's ok to struggle.

It's about taking it one day at a time.

Small, daily consistent steps.

Seeing progress will build your confidence.

Listening to music will help you to not overthink or care about other people in that moment 💚 🤗

I have found for the most part so many in public places are so into thinking of themselves they seldom notice others.   I honestly think that is why some people do odd things to draw attention to themselves.

Sometimes when we are the observant type, we assume others are as well.   9 times out of 10 they are not.   try in small steps and you can do it.

I don't know if it would help you because that sounds frustrating and exhausting, but I use earbuds and play upbeat happy music and that relaxes me, distracts me and puts me in a calmer mood.

I just focus on that or on the bus I will game on my phone, it takes me out of my head. I hope you find something that works for you too :)
