Does drawing really help with stress and overthinking?
Hey everyone,
Lately I’ve been feeling pretty overwhelmed with everything—especially exams and my thoughts. I’ve heard that drawing can help with coping, even if you’re not good at it.
I don’t really consider myself an artist, but I’m curious… does just sketching or doodling actually help you feel better? Like, can it reduce stress or clear your mind?
If anyone here uses drawing as a way to cope, I’d really like to know:
What do you usually draw?
Does it actually help you calm down?
How long does it take to feel any difference?
I’m thinking of trying it, but I don’t know where to start.
Would really appreciate your thoughts 🙂

In my experience, drawing absolutely helps with stress and overthinking, even if you are not an artist at all. When you sketch or doodle, it grounds you in the present moment and gives your anxious mind a much needed break from racing thoughts.
I found this post from a user talking about art therapy. Worth a read:
Anything can help that makes you calm. For someone who likes drawing that could be it, for you it may be something else.

Finally,
I don't really consider drawing would help to cope with the stress coz everyone aren't same and as well it does help some people.
Basically drawing and journaling are the way to express your feelings and distress.
Based on my opinion.
-how are you though?
And I will be back again in 2 or 3 days.
