Feeling tremendously anxious and afraid

Hello fellow anxiety comrades, uh I’ve never done one of this myself but I thought let’s give it a shot. Recently I came down with really bad physical symptoms of what felt like IBS and frequent heartburn, which I believe have to do alot with the fact that I’ve always been an anxious and panicked person. Well my IBS cleared up but now what ended up happening was the fact that I was left with heartburn and an uncomfortable feeling in my esophagus which is sending my anxiety to new heights at this point I’m feeling hopeless and afraid . I did have my long term listener but it seems like they disappeared. Looking for support in this dark time. Any would be highly appreciated thank you for reading.

@CloudsEscape Hello, I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging time right now. Dealing with physical symptoms of anxiety can be incredibly overwhelming, especially when it feels like they're compounding on top of each other. It sounds like you're experiencing a lot of discomfort, both physically and emotionally, and that can definitely take a toll on your mental health.

It's completely understandable to feel hopeless and afraid when faced with such symptoms, but please know that you're not alone in this. Many of us have experienced similar struggles and can empathize with what you're going through. While your long-term listener may not be available right now, I'm here as a supportive listener if you wish to talk.

Have you considered reaching out to a healthcare professional for guidance on managing your physical symptoms? Sometimes having a professional opinion and a treatment plan can provide a sense of relief and direction.

In the meantime, if you need someone to talk to or just want to vent, please feel free to reach out here. I'm here to listen and support you through this dark time. Take care of yourself 💕

In the same boat. It is such an awful feeling. When anxiety this strong, it is moment by moment. And being as gentle with yourself as possible. Anxiety makes you feel weak, when it reality, you are so strong.

I try not to fear the fear and call it's bluff as much as I possibly can. But when it's severe I know it can feel impossible. I'm with you. And I hope you find this a safe space where you can feel more support.

I have anxiety and panic disorder and I’ve definitely felt stuck at times. It can definitely feel like nothing will relieve the bad feelings. Recently, I tried a version of pranayama breathing. Basically you hold one nostril shut, breathe in, hold, then switch nostrils, breathe out. Repeat this for as along as you like.

everything works different for everyone, and after 5 years of panic attacks I can confidently say this has been my best friend. I hope you try it and I hope you find some ease ♥️

@CloudsEscape awww I'm sorry your unwell sweetie ❤ I know anxiety (and googling symptoms) can send you into a panic, when your not sure what's wrong with you. But before self diagnosis please go and talk to your doctor. It might just be something simple and they can put your mind at ease ❤❤ but at least that way you'll know exactly what it is ❤ good luck sweetie, I hope you feel better soon ❤ gives you a giant tiny hug
