Feel like a completely different person anymore.

I look back see I have changed so much in the last 10 years.

I feel like a completely different person then I was.

- I can't talk to people or carry a conversation anymore my mind draws a blank. (Not even with my wife.)

- I have isolated myself by not talking to anyone and going to 2nd shift where there's no one there to stress me out and my work ethic has dropped so much. If I had a choice I probably wouldn't talk anymore.

- I will text friends or family and then lose interest in talking or don't know what to say.

- I have no interest in anything or any hobbies anymore. Can't even relax to watch a TV show or play with the kids.

- my anxiety and worry is out of control just waiting on the next thing to happen my stomach feels like something is wrong. (Can't even check the mail anymore.)

- Just the thought of going anywhere but home or work gives me anxiety. Definitely places with a lot of people. When making any plans I only think of the bad things that could happen.

- I always think people are after me or that they think bad things about me.

- I feel like my home time goes so fast don't feel like I have any down time to enjoy doing anything if I wanted to.

- I feel like a helicopter husband always worried about her seizures, her stress or that I'm not good enough for her.

- Its hard to be happy about my oldest daughter

going to the Navy (mixed emotions) or how it will affect the other kids.

- I can't fall asleep I take melatonin everynight now not just weekdays anymore. My head and body won't shut off.

- I was taking caffeine pills to help my energy and mood but I stopped thinking it causes anxiety so I'm a zombie all day.

- I can't stand thinking of the future because I'm always waiting for the next thing that takes what I have now. ( No motivation or goals )

@Elliott1830 Hi Elliott. I am not a Doctor but I’ve been battling anxiety and depression for over 20 years. When we are depressed/anxious our thoughts on the negative stuff is out of control. We think that we will always think this way. Well you won’t. It gets better. I just recently went through another bout of depression/anxiety and I’m finally coming out of it. I think my antidepressants took some time off. It’s the best feeling in the world when you do. Have you talked to a therapist/counselor/psychologist? What about medication from a doctor? Exercise helps tremendously. I brisk walk on my lunch hour and it helps get the brain chemicals moving. I am also reading the book Feeling Good and the 10 best-ever anxiety management techniques. It also helps you understand what’s going on in our heads. I’m here if you need to chat bud

Thanks for the response. I did finally get up the nerve to make a psychologist appointment it's tomorrow morning. Don't really know how the medicine thing works I'll figure that out tomorrow. I'm hoping this will clear my head enough to slow me down to enjoy the things I use to like reading and other hobbies again.

Thanks for asking CDK.

I thought it was great just taking that step.

I feel like we covered alot for the first day and I now have things to continue to do all week till my next appointment. I felt really good after and immediately made some changes to some stuff. And after I found myself enjoying some music and took a long nap to. That was surprising 🙂.
