Friendship and anxiety

Have you ever had a friend who gives you mixed signs?

I have a friend who is warm and cute and invites me over her house often, but she does mention to me passive-aggressive comments and behaviours in a cute little voice. So I don't know most of the time if something bothered her or it's a joke. She has a complicated life, and somehow, she ends up in complex relationships like partners and other friends in common. I really don't know how to deal with her. Sometimes, I try to support her and be gentle with her, but sometimes I just think to myself... let her act anyway she wants.
