Growing up is scary

Have you ever felt this force inside you that stops you from hurting yourself by doing unnecessary things that doesn't match with your values or likes?

It's inner conscience, I know.

But on the other hand, there is this worry, that tells you to keep moving.

And amidst is a tired brain and heart and tells you it's alright, we'll figure it out, we'll see.

I've been quite conflicted, adulthood seems overwhelming and they expect me to make a whole life plan, and then they judge teens for making "shallow" plans, I know what I want in my life but it seems so small in front of what they want me to want.

And while moving I think there is this fear inside me, the fear isn't that it won't work or they won't accept me but the fear of giving in, the fear or ruining myself all for nothing, of losing myself.

I'm trying, to balance it all, to tell myself this isn't the end, it's not even the starting, I'm yet to begin my life, but the world keeps forcing it's timelines upon me, it's prescriptions of a "well lived life" while I'm struggling to breathe at time.

Has anyone else felt like this or is feeling like this?

@loyalTown2415 - Hello. If you are young you cannot expect to make "a whole life plan" yet.  Your brain has not fully developed, so you just can't know yet.  Plans made when we are 20 may appear shallow to others, but it's the best you can do.   You have to be true to yourself.  If initial plans don't work out, adjust and try something else.  Any fears you have are a natural fear of risk... we all have some risk whenever we try something new or stretch our comfort zones.  If you do "fail" the benefit is what did you learn from it, that you can change and do better next time: that's how we grow.
