Health anxiety, how to cope?

Hello. This is my first post here, I’ll try not to make it too long. I’ve been struggling with health anxiety for a while now. I’ve just very recently been able to start seeing doctors and dentists again, and it’s helped a bit, but in some ways it’s made the anxiety worse.

I’m always scared when something starts hurting, or when a “symptom” pops up out of nowhere. I feel like I’m always one step away from something really bad happening. Sometimes I’m scared to fall asleep, cause I think something bad will happen if I do.

Due to a lot of circumstances, I’m unable to get to most places on my own, despite being an adult. But I don’t trust most of my household to do the right thing if something goes wrong. I just wish I could be with the people I feel really love me. But they’re so far away, it all feels so hopeless. I wonder often, if my health will take me away before I ever get to see them.

I’m trying to remain hopeful, it’s all just been so hard lately. It’s like when I start trying, everything starts getting worse, like life is trying to get ahead of me being better. I don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself.

@sillymutt

🥺

It can be difficult when we don't like hospitals, dentists etc.

Most of the time, it's nothing to worry about but we work ourselves up, because we are human.

I would take it one appointment at a time.

You are doing your best in difficult circumstances 💕💜
