Really struggling at the moment with anxious thoughts and worries. How can i control them so i dont suffer all the time? Im a pretty extreme, unique case (30 years of anxiety issues, sexual abuse as a child, autism & PTSD) but hoping i can work out how to at least minimize this debilitating anxiety as its making my life literal ***. Thank you all.

@SRS808 sorry to hear that your anxiety controls that much of your life. I'm in the same boat.

@SRS808 talking myself through it helps a bit, practice deep breathing exercises, keep your mind busy, such as going for a walk, maybe to the gym. Talking to someone on the phone. These are just some if the things I do when I am in panic mode. Overall, the anxiety is always there. Somedays it's not so bad but other days it's terrible. Have you tried talking to your doc about it?.

Hey, I'm really sorry you're dealing with a lot of anxiety! I relate to you with my anxiety and PTSD. Maybe you can try to listen to something calming? For example, rain noises, wind, and or calming music. I love listening to music and such noises. I also use it to help me fall asleep at night too. For me, it helps me literally "block" the negative thoughts in my head and allows me to focus on the sounds that help me imagine a nice, calming pattern. Maybe if you have some blankets or plushies around, you can snuggle with them. It works for me to help me calm down and soothe myself at night. You can also try going for a walk or doing something you enjoy, if you have any hobbies you like to pursue. Try to take a look around your surroundings and focus on the present if possible. The present you, the present environment. For me, while I'm not sure if I'm autistic, I AM sensitive to loud noises and such. I'm not sure if you are sensitive to loud noises and such, but be aware of your sensory. Perhaps, maybe your environment is too much for you, so you'll have to find somewhere or someway to help manage your emotions. If you have anyone you love close by, you can message them, call them, or go to them for support. Remember, your existence is valid, my friend! There's always good, even in the bad days! 💖
