I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was like 8. And recently, like in the last 5 months I’ve noticed it get worse. I’m under exam stress, leadership role stress, and we’ll just a whole lot else. But like does anyone have any advice for what to do when a panic attack/ anxiety attack hits???

@TreeFish When a panic attack hits, one technique that helps me is grounding finding five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. It shifts focus away from the overwhelming feelings and brings you back to the present moment. Another trick is holding an ice cube or splashing cold water on your face, it’s simple, but it works by calming the nervous system.

I know how tough it can be to face anxiety day after day. That’s one reason I wrote The Silence. It’s not a professional guide. I’m not a trained therapist. It’s just my personal journey through fear, panic, and anxiety, with stories, insights, and the methods that helped me get through. I poured my heart into it, and I hope it can offer some comfort or ideas for managing tough moments.

You can check it out here: The Silence. It’s affordable, and by purchasing, you’re also supporting me to keep writing and sharing these experiences. Let me know if it resonates with you. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
