When I have this overactive amygdala , how do I control it?

@moohitshaarmaa I think what works for me is to journaling my raw thoughts down in a digital diary or somewhere safe, and process what's causing me to overthink.

Also, listening to reassuring meditation/ sleep talks helps you calm down or fall asleep ❤️ I hope things start to feel a little lighter for you 🍀 Sending you lots of love and *hugs* 🐾💕

@moohitshaarmaa my suggestion is stop trying to control it. You can't. It's the inner workings of your brain and body and the more you try to control it the more it will feel like you're controlled by it....you will just torture yourself and that's the opposite of what you're going for... I would try to change my perspective on that. You can't control anything but how you respond. I find the best way to deal with is to let it move through you without trying to change it. Without judgement. Allowing yourself the space and understanding to move through it without trying to control it will lessen the resistance. "I relax. I let go. I am in perfect flow." I hope this helps and I don't sound pretentious. 😂🫂😉

The most helpful thing would be to stop trying to take control but maybe work with it. For instance, if you’re having negative thoughts, don’t fall in the trap. Instead challenge them. I tend to be an over thinker and that can consist of so much negative thoughts or worst case scenarios. Instead of believing every negative thing, challenge it, question it, pick it apart.
