I can't connect with anyone due to anxiety
Helloo
I'm really struggling to make friends outside of the internet. I have 2 close friends irl but they are often busy and we don't see eachother much. It'd be great to have a friend at work or at school. Someone i could see a few times durning the week. One friend i see once in a few months and the other friend once every other week. I'm very lonely and don't think i'll make another irl friend because:
I last made a friend outside of the internet about 3-4 years ago
I can't find the courage to start a conversation with people unless they talk to me first. Even then.. i don't have anything interesting to say
Most people around me seem quite mean so i don't feel very motivated to try connecting with them.
People think i'm weird most of the time because i don't have anything in common with them.
I seem to have speech problems such as stuttering, mixing up words and going mute whenever i'm nervous.
I should know how to make friends being almost 20 but i honestly.. i just can't. I'm too akward, too different, too weird.

I get it. I've never kept friends for more than a few years cause my anxiety says they don't want to keep being my friends so I pull away and no one reaches out. So I guess there's my answer. Last 4 years I just don't know where to start. Meeting people out and about especially at my age just feels so awkward. I don't drink, I like activities but going and talking to strangers past simple small talk just feels so overwhelming and the feeling that they don't wanna talk to me anyways is also there.
Same reason of enjoying things in life but not typically meshing with other people.
Omg I’m the same way, I’m quite older, almost 30, but I have trouble stumbling over my words and getting super nervous when I talk to people. I don’t talk to anyone unless they talk to me and everyone seems so cruel anyways and judges me on my looks and how I act. And then when I say I have anxiety they don’t understand what that means. It’s a real struggle, and I’m def categorized as an introvert even though I do want to make friends- it’s just hard to. Your not alone 🩷
