I know exactly how you feel. till this day I still deal with that mind-boggling feeling of impending doom, but it has gotten a bit better.

what has helped me push down that feeling is to not overthink, which don’t get me wrong, is incredibly hard, especially when it’s habitual, but if you take the time to focus on something else, maybe do something you enjoy if you can— ( e.g, listening to music, watching funny videos, drawing ) can definitely help the feeling subside. if it doesn’t, zoning in on the fact that sudden death is unlikely can also help. while bad things can/do occur, the world is huge, and you are one person in billions. you can also do/adjust things to make yourself feel safer. ( another example, if you’re in the house, closing the blinds/covering the windows with a curtain or going to a safe zone/space ). doing all of those things have helped me get rid of the feeling gradually. and while it’s still there sometimes, i do indeed feel safer and am less likely to get that feeling

A feeling of impending doom is a pretty common symptom of anxiety. Your brain believes there is a danger that it has to protect you from, but there is no danger, so you just get this sense that it could be anything, but you don't know what.

There is no immediate danger. Take some nice deep breaths. You're going to be okay.

I am going through this. I have a health issue happening that doctors haven’t figured out. I have a functional medicine doctor giving me supplements which actually I believe have helped a great deal but the anxiety of the uncertainty of what is going on with me kills me. I somewhat pushed friends away but haven’t pushed my family away, I need them more than ever if anything. I just have constant impending doom/uncertainty/feel scared every single day the last 3 months. I’m scared I’m stuck in this cycle of anxiety even if I get better. But again my anxiety constantly wonders if I will get better or not.. it’s really debilitating
