I'm afraid
I feel afraid that I'm making big mistakes with my move, my car, my desired plan of getting a masters degree, of moving to the school's city. I'm so tired of being afraid. I have PTSD and ever since I received that diagnosis, I've been afraid. Sometimes more than others. Now I get afraid to the point that i feel sick.
I know I can make it through this move. But I still have a lot to pack and about 3.5 weeks before the movers show up. I just wish I had a significant other who could help me through all of this. Or even a family that I could count on. But I don't have any of those things.
I love sleeping and I feel great when I first wake up. But within seconds I am having to calm myself down. I talk myself through my fear and tell myself that everything will be ok. It's rare that I believe it. But I find the strength to get up and do what I need to do for the day.
Can you give me some guidance to not be afraid anymore? I'd appreciate it.
Love and blessings to you all.

Hey there that definitely sounds like a lot and I understand it must be difficult to having to calm yourself every time and remind yourself not to be afraid. Sometimes what may help is breaking a task ahead of you into different manageable chunks, so instead of thinking "I'm going to get a job" someday which can be very grand and daunting it can help break that goal up into small steps such as "I'm going to learn about this job" or "I'm going to fix my resume" etc. As you get these small steps over with you eventually find yourself closer and closer to the goal. Either way best of luck, wishing the best for you!
@purpleTree4652 I think that while you are afraid, you also have a certain amount of anxiety because these things in front of you are not as simple as going to the kitchen to get a glass of water to drink. They're tedious and require your energy, and I think if you haven't packed for your move, you may start. Because I see that you still have academic tasks to complete, so I hope your time is planned reasonably. I hope you can quickly get over your irritated and fearful stage and successfully get your master's degree.

Thank you Lexy. Yes, I've been packing. I'm more than half way done. Classes start in the fall, so I have time to get whatever is required of me, done.
I have PTSD and clinical depression and a chemical imbalance. I think the PTSD and chemical imbalance works against me. I have skills that the therapists have taught me, but it doesn't work 24/7. And I am so tired of the fear.
