Im thinking about getting help for my anxiety and depression

I've had this codition for years. I feel like Im on a bullet train that wont let me off and Im just stuck in my seat. All the while I hate myself for not being able to open the door.

I am trying to establish a new career meanwhile Im afraid my depression is going to make it hard for me to keep going and my anxiety is going to get in the way of making good judgment.

My question is: does anyone take antidepressants or anti-anxiety medicine and if so are they worth it?
