Insanity. what does it feel like.
Insanity. what does it feel like.
it’s never finding an anchor
you are everywhere
and you never trust anything anymore
not even your own thoughts.
it is saddening almost.
since the person experiencing it
is lost within
their own tornado of emotions, thoughts
— beliefs, principles, and wants.
p.s
I wrote this to make sense of my own emotions - I’ve been feeling a lot of grief lately from things past and I find that these emotions and thoughts often rise up together - making you feel unstable, overwhelmed, and anchor less, especially if the experiences left you scarred and broken and these things would come up randomly. It can be pretty harsh, and I hope anyone who can relate find some comfort in knowing they are not alone in this. And that we can find stability again.

Thats a great expression of feeling lost. Your choice of words and phrases really gives a sense of the feeling. Particularly the having no anchor. Are you missing a sense of belonging or purpose?
I'm so sorry to hear about your grief. That can definitely lead to feeling lost and disconnected. Someone once described it as waves that crash over you. I hope the waves get smaller and less frequent for you soon.
Thank you so much Clio, this means a lot 🤍 I do hope that waves get smaller as we keep going despite heavy feelings that do come up and visit sometimes due to our losses in life.. and may it also remind us that surviving these things give us depth, and more compassion to people facing the same things also. 🤍
