Is it possible to be an extrovert with social anxiety??
I feel that Im pretty good with people, and Im very outgoing with people when they can keep a conversation going. However, whenever I have to do a presentation in school, pair up with someone quiet or really pretty, or even just get my blood pressure done at the doctors, my body freaks out but i feel fine mentally.
Does anyone understand what I mean? I dont know whats going on with me. Ill be super confident in my head, but next thing you know my watch says 120 bpm, my palms get sweaty and i turn red and get a lump in my throat, sometimes it gets so bad ive vomited or even began to cry but tell someone that im completely okay, my body just does this whenever im in a social situation.
I haven’t exactly pinpointed my trigger to these situations despite having it like this since middle school (im graduating)
If someone knows whats up, tell me. Am I in denial of my own social anxiety or???
also mb guys i didnt know the formatting would get so weird. its my first time posting on a forum..ever 😭

It is entirely possible when in situations we are not as confident in..... we get anxiety .... many people i have met who seem very outgoing in specific situations.... in other situations they seem awkward. Many have anxiety at doctors office for example regardless of extrovert or introvert.
Small groups or one on one situations can induce overthinking and anxiety as you are more exposed in one on one.... the person may see through any item we are not confident in.... in groups it is easy to speak up with others agreeing etc
