I’ve exhausted myself
I recently started a new job that’s way out of my comfort zone and requires me to be very social, which i am not. It’s a call center vibe and I pretty much get chewed out then have to sell them stuff while they’re angry. Where I live, it’s the best paying job and has great benefits so I feel stuck because the only way to get out of the place I’m at is to stay at this job so I can afford to leave, but I wake up every morning completely sick to my stomach and by the end of the day I’m exhausted. I can barely find the energy to take care of my pets, myself, or my home and at this point I think I’ve been so anxious that I’ve actually exhausted myself into a depression. Any hopeful words to get me through? I’ll have to stay at this job got about a year to be able to afford to move back to my home state where I feel most safe, and it sounds so close yet so far…

Hi … I’m getting offline in a few minutes but happened to catch your post …
A year is not too bad. Continue getting encouragement and support here at 7Cups. Don’t isolate: make friends here, try the self-help exercises, talk to listeners, try therapists.
If you don’t have a budget, make one. If you have one, tighten it up. Don’t let your job stress eat up your finances (it’s better to make friends here than to drink, go out, spend money, etc). Improve your diet and exercise (maybe find partners here, I don't know if they exist).
That's all I can think of ...
I hope to run into you again!
Good luck!
@SplittComett I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. Please know that you're not alone in this. I hope you find the support here 🍀 and things start to feel a little lighter 🤍 Sending lots of love your way ❤️❤️
