Lately
Lately I’ve been really struggling with my mental health, I’ve cried everyday, have been zoning out often, and had panic attacks often. I haven’t been able to eat, concentrate, sleep well, or leave the house. I have been in a low for over a week or two now and I’ve been trying to slowly do things to help myself get out of- one of the worst funks i’ve been in. Here are some things that are small but I am very proud of myself for being able to do:
- Sweeping the floor that’s been covered with dust today
- Cleaning up my messy desk that have been overloaded with trash
- Eat; making sure i eat dinner - even a little despite not having an appetite
- Leaving my room to talk to my roommates - there were days when i intentionally avoid them
- Leaving my room to work in the living room with sunlight
- Maintaining a calm and gentle tone through disagreements with S/O (i am giving them space right now which have been hard for me as an anxiously attached)
- Finally opening up to one of my friends about my feelings - i’ve never done that before in 23 years of my life
- Crafting, journaling, starting new movies/shows
- Calling my friends and reaching out to my friends
- Being able to reflect and think and calm my nervous system down by breathing
I have a long way to go but I’m working on things! Most importantly I need to be able to give space to my S/O because they mean a lot to me and I want them to know how much I care and love them.
To anyone feeling the same way, im here for you too ♡ let’s get through this together step by step!

What a great way to really start taking an initiative on not letting your condition control your life and make it spiral out of control. Sometimes vocalizing and making a commitment to these even seemingly small steps can be huge to establishing a sense of control back into your life. Keep it up, because really it adds up and it helps. You're doing awesome, hope everything gets much better soon for you.
@midknightcare That is a long list and it doesn’t feel small at all. Self care is awesome! Keep moving forward!
@midknightcare Thank you for sharing about this. Don't worry, I also feel like this too and many others. You've done a lot of big accomplishments and it is a big thing to be proud of. It's better to take 2 steps forward and one step back than to do nothing at all. Hope you're doing ok.
You are doing great! Those are so many things and we are very proud of you. I have been trying to open up more to friends and family as well. I never actually realized how closed off I was, and it's pretty difficult for me, but it feels really good to start letting people be there for me.
