Let Us All Cry And Be Human
Living in a society that undermines the importance of mental health, I've always relied on resilience in holding me back from breaking down. I always pride myself on being this strong-independent girl boss the world glorifies. And not that any of that is wrong. Resilience and being strong are great qualities to have.
But now, after moving to a new ground, a new country. I started to realize just how much I hate being strong. I want to break down. I want to be sad for a while. I want to beg the sky to let me go home and then curse at it for how vast it is. I want to be as sad as spilled ink on a wooden table, letting myself seep through my own emotions. I want to stop fighting and not feel weak about it. And I want to spend the entire day gorging on chips in bed. I want to pause and that shouldn't be something to beg for or feel afraid of.
@shyPomegranate2805 brilliantly said 💖 it's completely ok to take mental breaks from the norm. And just let yourself feel whatever you need to feel💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
cries with you😭😭😭
@shyPomegranate2805 I used to be like you, trying to be strong so that no one would see me fall. But then one day I sat alone crying and realized: being weak does not mean failure. That is how I listened to myself, healed, and grew up. Among Us Online
