Hello everyone! I could use some friendly advice. Normally I am well functioning and truly enjoy my life but when anxiety hits, it hits so hard it’s nearly crippling. This past week I have been waking up with high pulse, an unsettling feeling and tension in my body, my stomach is upset and I struggle to eat and drink.

this has happened before and every time I get so scared that it will never pass and that I’m stuck like this forever. I’m scared I won’t be able to finish my studies, form any sort of relationships or function at all in life.

I do go outside, exercise and try live as normal as possible but the tension in my back and stomach won’t let go and the same goes with the unsettling feeling. I just want to feel normal again and enjoy life like I normally do. Do you guys have any tips or friendly advice?

@22WithAnxiety Thank you for opening up. It can feel like you are a hamster running in a wheel when you believe that an outcome will go poorly in general. Studying is a phase where others may have expectations of you and you most obviously too.

Its ok to completely ask yourself where that fear is coming from.

If you could be a parent to the child part of you what would you say as an encourager? Its ok to connect to the child part of you.

All you can do as cliched as it sounds is give of your best and ask yourself of the distractions.

Break things down into simple steps and ask what environment serves you well.

Is the thought of wanting to be in control something that is or isn't serving you well?

Go for it! <3
