Need advice

I'm in relationship right now. My bf is rather introverted and has anxiety. We've been for half a year almost. I helped him with it, but it seems like he never uses my advices. He doesn't want to improve his health. He always over thinks everything and I feel horribly when he demands explanation of something that didn't even happen or mades up his mind a sad story and ignores me.

He doesn't talk to me, he doesn't say me anything what happened and why because it will make me angry. He asked me for my best friend's contact number and I gave it to him. Meanwhile my friend accidentally blocked him, mistook the user. And now he made up something and ignores me. I feel really horrible... Like what I do means nothing for him and it feels like he wants to posses me. He doesn't want me to have friends.

I can't help but drink a pack of Magnesium B3 and try to calm down. I don't know why is it happening. It's not for the first time. I feel like he swings me on emotional swings.

Sometimes it's hard for people with anxiety to listen to take the advice of others.  We may want to, but we also know that it will move us out of our comfort zone which will make us even more anxious.

Overthinking is not about you.  It's a way for him to feel in control of things because he doesn't feel in control.  We overthink so that we can be prepared for everything, so that nothing will be a surprise.  Sameness is comfort.

Is he seeing a therapist for his anxiety?

No, he doesn't. He says it's useless. He says he'd rather talk to me about his problems than therapist. I can cheer him or support in certain situations, but I'm not a specialist.

One time he blames me and makes a childish tantrum and then he acts like he is a monster and begs for forgiveness. It happens all over again, nothing changes except the topic of the conflicts.

It's important to let him know that while you can be supportive of him and his issues, he really should work with a trained therapist.  It will help both him and you and your relationship.

@Iveta13

I’m really sorry, you’re in a very difficult and emotionally draining situation. Anxiety may explain some of his behavior, but it does not justify ignoring you, making up accusations, or trying to control your friendships. You’ve been supportive, yet it sounds like your needs, feelings, and boundaries aren’t being respected, which isn’t healthy for you. You are not responsible for fixing him, and a relationship shouldn’t feel like constant emotional turmoil. Please prioritize your well-being, set clear boundaries, and consider whether this relationship is giving you the safety and respect you deserve. 🤍
